Ian is the CEO of AdaViv where he is guiding AdaViv’s mission to help every farm become highly profitable, innovative and sustainable through enhanced Plant-Level Data and Lean Cultivation tools. Ian’s background bridges plant science, agriculture, image processing and data science. Dr. Seiferling has published numerous high-impact articles in the top academic journals in his fields and his research has been featured in the Smithsonian Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Wired, Forbes, The Guardian and the Atlantic – CityLab, among other media. Ian holds an MSc. in Biology and PhD in Environmental Sciences from the University of Quebec and, before founding Adaviv, was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He originates from the prairie grain belt province of Saskatchewan, Canada.
