Dr. Ian Atkinson is Co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Grow Group PLC. He brings extensive life science industry experience in California in technology development, project management, and systems optimization across a broad range of medical, drug development, genomics and biological applications. His experience includes roles of increasing responsibility in companies including Lunaverse, Innovative Trauma Care, Illumina, Molecular Dynamics/Amersham Pharmacia, and Ignition Sequence. He holds a combined Ph.D. in Genetics and Biological Sciences from the University of Alberta, Canada and conducted his post-doctoral research at the University of California, Berkeley.

Dr. Atkinson has led a team in the development of a trauma medical device that has been regulatory cleared for sale in over 40 countries. In addition, he has helped to found 4 startup life science companies.
